• • Guest Speaker:  Kelly Brown, President, Sarasota Coalition of City Neighborhoods Association (CCNA) 
    

    Kelly Brown joined CCNA as the Gillespie Park delegate in 2022. Appointed CCNA Director for District 1 in 2023 focused on learning the neighborhood concerns and getting to know people. Gillespie Park Neighborhood Association Board member for 7 years. Elected Gillespie Park Neighborhood Association President in 2023 with a focus on neighborhood traffic/safety solutions. Volunteer and donation sponsor for Gillespie Park and The Bay Park Little Free Library Programs. Regular volunteer in Gillespie Park neighborhood using Click to Fix to repair sidewalks, streetlights, potholes and other improvements needed in the community.

    Former Vice President with Harbor Freight Tools and Lowe’s Home Improvement focused on brand and product development, marketing, store layout and team building in the US and Asia. Former Chief Operations Officer for Ethan Allen/Markor Home Furnishings responsible for China nationwide retail store operations

    In her role as CCNA president her focus will be on CCNA member supported initiatives with open communication with the members and city staff. Philosophical outlook; success comes from listening and looking for solutions!!
