Smart Board & Property Manager CEU Legal Guide: Repair & Maintenance Obligations: Limits of Board Business Judgment

Tannenbaum Lemole & Hill Attorneys At Law

Florida community association boards are faced with ever increasing challenges in undertaking association repair and maintenance responsibilities. Insurance premium increases up to 500% have put a strain on association budgets. For condominiums, The Legislature has mandated expensive enhanced structural inspection and reserve requirements. But despite these financial pressures, boards cannot avoid the undertaking of necessary common maintenance and repair. In the Smart Board segment, firm attorneys will address the risks involved in boards avoiding necessary expenditure for maintenance and repair.
